Default Is Polish safe for Clearcoat?

Few questions ...

So is polish safe for the clearcoat? I heard no...but then again i'm new to polishing.

What are long term effects of Polish on the car(paint), What's the long term of Zaino on the car?

Normal Car wash, what kind of carwash soap do you use?

Define "polish". Some people confuse wax and polish.

True polishes that contain an abrasive work by removing a small amount of the clearcoat/paint. That's how they remove scratches and other surface imperfections.

Because of the abrasive, you don't want to use it over and over on your car as eventually you'll wear through the clearcoat into the paint.

Products like Zaino contain no abrasives so they only layer on the surface, they don't remove any clearcoat or paint. Long term, there is no harm.

Use a car wash/shampoo that is compatible with the wax you use on your car. For Zaino, I use either the Zaino car soap or Meguiars Deep Crystal.

Polish is an important part of detailing. The right polish used properly will enhance the beauty of your car. The wrong polish in the wrong hands can be disastrous.

I know Z2 isn't abrasive at all but isn't Z5 a little since they claim it as a swirl and scratch remover. I haven't used Z5 yet as my car is brand new. Can you clarify?

Z-5 doesn't remove swirls, it hides them. Only Z-PC has an abrasive.
