turtle wax ICE, anyone tried it yet? is it worth the money?

 

No stick to gold glass for metalics and zaino for solids.

 

I have been using it for a year and a half. For how easy/fast it is, it's great! I think you want to use a synthetic between waxes anyway....

 

I used it before on my IS350, good stuff. Can get a bit greasy, but love the fact you can literally put it on anything. Gives a great shien to silver, so imagine on black

 

I liked the gold class more.

My thoughts exactly. Just found about about the stuff. Anyone use it? If so, how did it work out? Ive been wanting to clay my Z for a while, but now that it is 100 frekain degrees here in AZ I really dont want to be out in the garage in this heat.

On my midnight black Z it either looks really good, or it leaves horrible streaking marks.
I just put another coat on it today over a meguires wax job, and I think its really tempremental on how you apply/rub it out.
I might need some lighter hands to get the excess off, but it seems like a lot of hassle,
in AZ too!

 

Well, I just used this yesterday on my Ultra Yellow. I tend to get a lot of black specs in the paint. I have to say it did the job! However, taking it off was a hassle, but I found a little trick that made it easier. First I sprayed off as much as I could with a hose, then I took a brand new microfiber towel and a gentle stream of water and lightly wiped it off.
So here is what I did. I went all Turtle wax yesterday
1) Washed the car with Turtle wax ICE car wash
2) Went section by Section with ICE Liquid Clay bar
3) Rinsed throughly
4) Re-Washed twice with ICE Car wash (Just to make sure I got all the Clay off)
5) Applied 3 coats of ICE wax

As I was finishing, it started lightning and I had to through my cover on. I will take some pictures this afternoon to show you the final results, which I must say I am VERY happy with. My paint in super clean, smooth and looks great!!!

 

Did you but the liquid clay on while the car was wet or did you dry it off first

 

sw150, I first dried it, and that was OK, but for the tough spots, and when it got too gooey, I splashed a little water on it....take a look!

All in all, the paint is WAY smoother, the paint is crisp and glowing! great stuff IMHO

 

Sweet I'll give it a try. Did you wash it again after the clay or did you just put the wax on.

 

I washed it twice after, once with a full solution and the second I used a diluted one of ICE Car wash. I wanted to be sure I got all the cay off.....
