If you can feel it, thn it's too deep for something like ScratchX. Depending on how deep it is, a shop can take it out with compound. I have no idea what it would cost, as I do it myself.

This site has a section on Chip & Scratch repair if you want to try it yourself.

BTW - why on earth would you use nail polish remover? If anything, that will remove the paint, not a scratch.

Lol, that's just what I was wondering. What is it with the fetish for nail polish remover at the moment? I hope the nail polish remover was thoroughly washed off!!!

Depending on the depth like DavesZ#3 said. Can you still see paint color under it or is it down to the metal? If it's all clear coat you could use compound on it. If you have never used compound before you might want to let a shop do it. Especially since it is not in an inconspicuous spot.

Definately don't use nail polish remover on it.
