Exclamation For All You Crystal Guard Skeptics!

Just got my bottle of Crystal guard today. I was so excited I couldnt wait to get it started. I took some pictures along the way to aid in visualizing the noticable difference....I was fairly skeptical at first, but after you see these pics I hope you go and get yourself a bottle too.

My Process:

Washed with Dawn
3M auto tar remover (road construction's a b*&@%)
Wet the car
Sprayed Crystal Guard Quick
Spread CG with Microfiber
Let sit for maybe 5 minutes
Washed entire car down
Wiped entire car with microfiber to dry it

Here are the pictures:

Honestly, I don't notice any difference other than the lighting and that some pictures have dry panels and others wet body panels.

Without EXACTLY the same camera angle and lighting I don't think it is a fair comparison.

So, I am still skeptical

Yeah, It had just started to rain when I was done crystal guarding, so I didn't get to have the same camera angles...Tomorrow though I will post some more with the exact setting and camera angle. And If I'm bored I might put on another coat, since there's only one coat on right now.

Thanks VQ!

First of all, I don't consider myself a CG skeptic, as I think it is a really good product. I put three layers on my Stealth and it looks great. BUT, I STILL don't think it is easier than Zaino, nor do I think it is better than Zaino.

I think it is an exceptional product. Just not as good as #1 IMHO.

Thanks Dr. Bonz for the input. Yeah, from my experience CG was quick and painless. Personally, I've never used Zaino so I can't really compare it to CG, I was just trying to show how this "too good to be true" product actually works. I'll order some Zaino soon and then I'll be able to make a comparison. And, hey, if it's easier than CG like you say Dr., I'll be one happy man! Either way shine is my z's friend so anyone who has advice, tips, or comments letterip.

I agree, and in my tests, the longevity of the CG was far less than that of Zaino. 4 applications of CG lasted maybe a month (based on touch, water adhesion, and shine). It was quick to apply and looked good but I went back to Zaino. Price was another reason to go back.
