Default circular scratches

When I bought my new z which is red there were small circular scratches that you could see if you look at the car at certain angle. Dealer said it was normal. They stated they would never put a polisher on it because you could affect the paint. Did anybody ever hear of this problem?

dealerships are known for being idiots and this is but one more example... he scratches most likely stemmed from someone who had no idea how to wash a car... my suggestion is to find someone who's knowledgeable in detailing and have them peform the following steps:

- wash
- clay bar
- polish (with dual head orbital buffer)
- wax

this will cure your ailments...

sounds like swirl marks... to get rid of those first just try applying something like spray wax, if that doesn't work its probably going to need a polish out. you can do it yourself just be careful not to "burn" the paint with the polisher.

if you dont know how to use an orbiter, i suggest trying a really low abrasive polish or prewax cleaner and doing it by hand and see how that fairs...unless them swirls are that bad....

Find a reputable detailing shop in your area and let them address it. Doing it yourself might add to it and make the problem 10x worse

Swirls are more noticeable on darker cars. Very normal to see see swirls, use some 3m rubbing compound and you should be good.

If swirls are deep to where you can run your hand on the car and feel the engravements that's more serious, I'd advise for that to be handled by a detail shop.

first off.

spray wax will not do anything.
clay bar will not do anything because it has nothing to do with it.

its from handwashing. i hope ur not using a rag or anything but prolly the hand spounge or somethin.
its because when u wash ur car, u wash it in a circular motion, everyone does it. just make sure the spounge ur using is very clean, especially if ur driving a dark colored car.

u can either get them off by machine wax, or buff.
