Default Zaino questions

Hello

I plan to apply Zaino to a chrome silver 350Z I took delivery of about 2 weeks ago, had a few questions

Do you think it's necessary to clay a brand new finish?
Do you have to apply Z1 before each coat of Z2 or is Z1 a one time deal?
Should you apply Z1 to your rims before applying Z2?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Do you have to apply Z1 before each coat of Z2 or is Z1 a one time deal? apparently this should be done at the very beginning and then again with every few coats, maybe every 4th coat? if you use ZFX you never need Z1.
Should you apply Z1 to your rims before applying Z2? yes, Z1 is important; again if you use ZFX you dont need Z1.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Unless, the paint was covered completely in plastic film (it probably was) then I would clay bar it.

Z-1 is the chemical activator for Z-2 and Z-5, it tightens the bond of Z-2 and Z-5 by putting them in an activated state, you should use Z-1 once per six months on a daily driver and oncer per 12 months on a show car.

Yes, put Z-1 on the wheels also.

If you want the best results, CLAY IT! I have a LONG list of customers who were on the fence about clay - until they tried it. If you have a pasta roller, claying your car doesn't take long (the pasta roller makes perfect clay "pancakes" in an instant).

Use Z-1 just before the FIRST coat of Z-2. Apply it VERY sparingly. You will barely see it when you wipe it on.

In about a year, you'll want to do a "spring cleaning" on the car - you may clay some areas, buff out scratches, etc. Use Z-1 again on the first coat after your spring cleaning.

Should you apply Z1 to your rims before applying Z2?
Use Z-1 on anything you are planning to put Z-2 on. It's especially important to get your rims really smooth and get the polish to stick well. Clay & Z-1 will do that. Put an extra coat of Z-2 on the rims for more protection.
