Car wash with vented hood?
for those who have vented cf hoods that doesnt come with a cover for the vents, how are you guys washing your car? ever sinse i bought my hood, i never took it back to the car wash, and been doing all my washes at home so i can gently shoot water on my hood. but nothing stopping the water from getting in. i dont know if this will be a problem for my engine or not with water and soap getting on it. should i continue doing what im doing or will i have to find something to cover the vent?

I put a plastic trash bag over my air filter to prevent it from getting wet when washing my car. CAI's use a paper/fiber filter media and it will get soggy if exposed to water.

This topic has been covered I dont know how many times. If you worried about corrosion, then wipe down the engine bay with a clean towel after your done.

I have the rain shield for mine but don't use it cuz it marks up the strut bar. When I bathe mine, I just lay 2 towels over the engine bay and close the hood. And why in the world would you risk taking it to a car wash anyway? Wash her at home.
