This is what I want: http://www.wttool.com/product-exec/p...ander_Polisher
Im trying to get it for the best price-----No need to try and sell me on the Porter Cable 7424 ---I dont need user friendly.

Thanks Roast --- I ordered tonight --Got it at 177.00 from ---CPO I think, just got conformation. Was tired of borrowing my neighbors 15 LB 1960s B@D---this is 6.6 ..cool thing about the Makita is it can be set at a speed but still starts slow and builds RPMs to that set speed----excellent for CCs and also for the new self repairing CCs that are a Biach to buff out
The self repairs are awesome ---if you get a scratch, it will repair it self in the sunlight
Thanks

I have a makita looks to be the same one. I would buy that attachment to use the better pads though.
I think the wool pad is a tad aggressive. I usually just use the foam ones they come in different types for polishing, compound and so forth. I use the ones 3M sells mostly. They have the velcro back on them so they work with that type of backing mount.

Well ---there are foam Pads and Wool pads --- The main thing is quality and using a given pad for a given purpose ---Mark your pads ---Use them only for a given compound---

Makita is good. Yeah, mark your pads. Try not to mix match diff compounds and polishes on different pads. Try to buy multiple pads of the same even though it gets very expensive.

Got the Makita ---very cool ---they shorted me some stuff but admitted and following up sending them out. --Its cool---hit the trigger and it builds to RPM over a 3 second or so time so it dosent just take off which is good---just a added feature. 6.5 Lbs and Makita quality

Wool pads are so much nicer. I recently got some Lake County Purple Foamed wool pads and its like night and day. So smooth and the wool runs alot cooler.

I learned the other day-----Youtube is great for their Tech Vids.
Buffing of a new finish is not only an abrasive action but is a chemical reaction cause by heat. Of course, too much and you burn. Also pushing the foam pads ---the white for the course cut and the black for the final finish.
Iv buffed in the past but not seriously. I use the 3M Finese for the final ----I also use it to polish the head lights---Damn, they come out nice
