Default Help!!!! Car Polish Vs. Meguiars Liquid Wax

I'm used to using Nu-Finish car polish on my car, but have been looking for something different because of all the hype on how nu-finish can be harmful to your paint. I was looking towards the Meguiars Liquid wax, but ive never actually waxed a car before. How different is using Nu finish polish and using the Meguairs Liquid wax? For the Nu-finish, all I had to do was apply it, and polish it with a dry towel. Would it practically be the same for the liquid wax or is there much more that you have to do?

Nu Finish has abrasives in it and will cause swirl marks and scratches. I use Meguiars Gold Class and it's easy to apply. Just use a foam pad and a good soft cloth to remove.

polish is not wax. if you are polishing and not waxing you are not protecting your car at all! You need to polish it and then wax it some! Meguiar's is awesome stuff for the money but wears off quickly due to melting temperature in the usn. If you use chemical wax like Zaino, zymol, Blackfire (I recommend Blackfire for simplicity) then it won't melt as much and lasts a lot longer on the car as a result.

Good luck,
