I bought a few of the menzerna polishes and they worked great for me so that is what i will be sticking with. Also the pc is a good little tool but it takes way to long to get decent results with it so you might want to look into the flex 3401 vrg or the makita 6040 as they orbit quite a bit faster and also have forced rotation.
i feel XMT line is great for beginners . Yes, Menzerna is high up there in my book and i use it all the time. Only reason i never recommend it is because people won't pay the price for menzerna.

On auto geek it looks like the Menzerna package is $20 more than the XMT package so it looks like its a pretty good deal. I figure if I am going to buy $400 worth of equiptment I may as well go for the right stuff.

Superblack what do you think about the PC package they have at Autogeek?

Considering this is my first time experimenting with any of this stuff should I stick with the PC or go to a higher power buffer.

To me (knowing what pad goes where on the machine is a big deal) the PC package seems very understandable... PC, backing plate, orange, white, black pad...

Are the Mikita and other buffers as easy and simple to use. Which one is the best Mikita, flex, or whatever else is out there. The Mikita is quite a bit more $$ as well.

Thank you

O and what car wash soap should I use. Or are they all pretty much the same?

You definitely need to stick to the PC. Rotary buffers are way too much. You will either mess up your paint or waste a lot of clear coat trying to work with it.

The only thing i like about auto geeks PC package is that they sell you a complete set all in one but it is a lot cheaper if you buy everything seperate from different places.

Well i do agree with SB i still think the the pc is just a weak alternative for getting a great result and money not needed to be spent. The orbital-forced rotation polishers are much more efficent at doing the job and much faster. To damage the paint with one would require an idiot to stand there in one place at full bore with either the flex or the makita.
You have to remember that these units are not pure rotary polishers that can damage your paint or clearcote in an instant if not used properly. These units are orbital with forced rotation as a benefit but do not have the high speeds of a true rotary polisher.
After buying the flex 3401 and using it for the forst time i sold my pc as it was not even in the same league.

I have used the P21S Concours wax past couple years and have always been happy with the results and ease of use. It really helps bring out the pearl effect in the paint. I have also been pretty happy with Blitz and Pinnacle, but for the money the P21S is a great medium at a reasonable price.
