Default Cleaning Headlights and Tailights

If you guys have never tried Plexus before try it. You can usually find it at dirtbike shops. It's a spray that cleans, shines, and protects your clear and colored plastics. Keeps them from yellowing with age also. This stuff is fantastic.

I use the three Meguiar's products for plexiglass surfaces (Number 10, Number 17 and I forgot the third)
There are similar products from 3M and others. These are very mild abrasives in a thin carrier solution. Just wipe on, rub a bit, and wipe off. The different compounds are for different levels of "repair"- from polish to "get out scratches"- so use the right stuff.

I actually recovered some sun-damaged lenses on my van by sequentially going from 1000 grit wet-or-dry to 1200 to 2000 grits, then sequencing the Meguiar's stuff from the repair compound to the polish compound- took a little while, but saved $100's (check the price on the headlamp arrays...)

Both Plexus and the Meguiars 10/17 combo are GREAT for plastics! I use Plexus on the headlights of my Z as well as for routine maintenace on my Jeep soft top windows. The Meguiars products are a little more aggressive and should only been used when really necessary. I like to use them on the Jeep windows in the fall to remove all the scratches and scuffs before putting them away for the winter. You need to start with a clean surface though so I usually use Stoner's Invisible Glass first.
