Remove Detailer From Headlights?
I got some detailer on my headlights, and now there is a foggy/hazy buildup that I cannot remove. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or is this a replace the plastic headlight covers issue now? (there's more than just a little on there
)
The detailer was Mother's Showtime Instant Detailer.
So far, I've tried:
Water
Glass cleaner
Meguiar's car wash soap
Dish soap
Lots of rubbing/buffing with a microfiber towel
None of the above makes any difference.

Try any brand of plastic cleaner available at most auto stores or auto web sites. I have purchased various plastic cleaners/polishers from Eastwood and Griot garage in the pass. I use a porter cable polisher set on no. 3 with a soft (white pad) and clean up with a microfiber towel.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Tried the PlastX polish, but still no change. For what it's worth, the covers still look fine when they are wet. The problem only shows when dry again. I have a feeling the plastic headlight covers are permanently etched...
Any other suggestions?

I did my headlights 6 months ago, they only need re-doing now, which is brilliant going. I used the Turbo Wax Headlight Restoration, especially designed for the purpose. I would be exceptionally surprised if you don't get a good result. I'd take a photo of the before and after but it's almost dusk here, so not the best photo time or for doing before and afters, and it's raining.
