Default Turtle Wax ICE Paste Polish and Liquid Polish the same?

About a month ago, I decided to do an experiment. I always felt that a paste polish was better than a liquid polish. Why? I can't explain it really...

Anyhow, I am a user of the TurtleWax ICE line. I have both the paste and the liquid polish. I switched over to liquid polish because it was a lot quicker and easier to apply. I noticed that each time I washed my car afterwards, the water never beaded up like it used to with the paste polish.

So I started my experiment:
I would wax once with paste wax and continue driving and washing it normally for two weeks.
After those two weeks, I would wax it with the ICE liquid and do the same regular driving and washing for the next two weeks and compare results with the end of the first two weeks.

So I did... Results are:

The paste wax still beaded the water really well after two weeks. Still felt smooth, protected, with that normal waxed surface feel (somewhat slippery).

The liquid wax lost its beading properties, and the car's paint felt unprotected to the touch (dryer). Water ran off like it was on a non-waxed car.

So with my little independent test, I've concluded that Turtle Wax ICE paste works better than Turtle Wax ICE liquid.

Just thought I'd share my results. If you have anything to add, feel free to.

the liquid clay bar works fine for what it is. It doesn't work well as an actual clay bar substitute.

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad to share my experiences.

Silverstone are you talking about the polish or wax? I think they sell a paste and liquid form for both, and in your first post it sounds like you are talking about applying a polish not a wax.

Is that correct? If so have you tried the liquid and paste wax as well.

Vice versa for if you were originally talking about the wax, have you tried the liquid and paste polishes?

which ones are better

Wax =paste or liquid

polish =paste or liquid

Same product and use, but the paste may last longer or shorter than the liquid depending on the product itself. The liquid clay car is junk, that is assuming its supposed to have the same use as a clay. Try some good products other than otc stuff from detailedimage.com or migliore.

The only ICE products I know of are called "polishes".

I use the car wash soap.

It's pretty bubbly.
