Unhappy Bugs on bumper, tried everything!

Ok I swear I have scrubbed my hardest and I can't get this crap off. I bought these bumpers off someone b/c mine were dinged up and either they have no clear on them or they were never waxed. They are PPW BTW. I tried using quick detailer, waterless car wash, goo gone, clay, and nothing works. I can get some off it off w/ my fingernail. And the bumper is like permanently stained from the rain water I went through this week. The bumpers are so rough compared to the rest of the car. Any suggestions b/c I've tried everything I know. The bumpers are also a like yellowish color compared to the rest of my car. They came off an '06 PPW and mine is an '03.

if clay doesn't work, those bug guts are in your paint. i'd look for some polish or get a detailer who knows what he or she is doing

won't you just take it off and get it repainted. If it doesnt have much clear on it its just going to keep staining. Easy solution is getting it repainted.

If the bumper does not have a good coat of wax, bugs will leave a next-to-impossible-to-remove stain.

One thing that I have found interesting about white. The sun bleaches out stains. It fixes itself in good time.

If you have love-bug splatter that dried on your car, you have permament damage...the enzymes etches into your clear/paint. The only way to prevent damage, is to remove the splatter before it has a chance to dry. A wet bounce dryer sheet works wonders.

Nothing will work on dried love-bug splatter once the enzymes have etched your clear/paint. People from central Florida all know this.

I'll try the dryer sheet I just hate rubbing something course on the paint but I guess it doesn't really matter at this point. If that doesn't work I'll pick up that chemicals guys stuff. I wish I would've waxed the bumpers the minute I got them. Lesson learned for next time when it comes to buying painted products off people.

Thanks for the suggestions I will try everything this weekend. Would be really great if the sun bleached them out.

FRANK'S SPECIAL CLEANER™

These two products combined will get rid of any bug residue. If you left the bugs on to long under the Sun you are fuked. The acids in the bugs will burn through the clearcoat.

Try licking it off, your saliva contains certain enzymes that should be able to take it off.

Try a product called bug b gone. I use it during the bug seasons here in Florida. You spray it on, leave it for about a minute then use a wet sponge to take it off. This stuff seems to dissolve even the most stubborn bug guts, including love bugs. But like mentioned above, if you have left the guts there too long, then you may just have to buff it out.
