Default scratches

just a question for everyone. i saw my Z last night in those bright street lights that are flourescent.....i could see every little scratch and swirl mark in the paint at the right angle. in the sun you cant see any of that. is this normal? i dont wash my car that often, i usually maintain it every time i drive it with spray polish that ive been using on my motorcycles for years. is there any way to get around making those scratches and swirl markes, or is that normal and just going to happen??

Scratches are inevitable, I'm sorry to say. Yes any artificial light or direct sunlight will show them off quite nicely. Put a few coats of a high quality wax on, and that will cover them up until the oils wear away (usually in a couple of weeks). Join the scratch & swirl club ... I'm not just the president, i'm also a client!

Yep. The cost of Black. My hood has plenty of scratches in the right light. Guess it's normal for the car. Always hand wash with soft cloth. Wax is good, but not a cure. If anyone finds a cure, let us know! In the mean time......Black is still worth it IMO.

Most scratches and swirls come from the type of cloth you are using. Use Microfiber and never apply any pressure, whether the vehicle is wet or dry!!

If you are using that spray polish that is like dri wash where they want you to spray it on an already dirty surface and clean the car that way with out washing it, then, there is your source of scratches....
