just wondering... i usually wash them after every carwash. Or when i clean off bird droppings or insects with a quick detail spray. Any1 know if washing microfiber towels too much degrades the quality?

I only use 100% cotton and yes they do get washed every time. I've got a bunch. I can't see that the microfiber would degrade. Since my towels really don't get very dirty I use the gentle cycle on the washing machine.

100% cotton Fieldcrest Royal Velvet towels only. And yes, I wash them after every wash.

Heck, I'm sure they're cleaner than my bath towel is.

Not too familiar with microfiber though.

I do have problems washing out those little 2 oz bottles the ZFX comes with. Pretty much, they're one use only for me.

Yes, they get washed after each use. If you check out the "Zaino" site "Tips and Tricks", it is recommended that a 2nd rinse be used. 100 % cotton Fieldcrest Royal Velvet towels only. Don't know if you have a Foley's close, but they are having a "Once-a-Year-Sale" on Royal Velvet. Large bath towel, 2ea for $14.00 and change. Just trim off the edges and decorative stuff.

I just washed mine in the bucket I use to wash the car. It's easier to do a quick hand wash than waste a whole load on the microfiber, since the microfiber isn't supposed to be washed with anything else (it can get bits of cotton in it that gets left on your car).

Use a liquid detergant, not a powder. With a powder, some small particles may remain in the towel and when you use it on your car, it MAY creat very samll scratches.

very true and be sure to just straight dry the towels in the dryer w/o any fabric softener. Particles from the softener could also get into the towels.

www.griotsgarage.com has 10 100% cotton towel for only 15 bucks! It's a good deal and I carry some with me with some quick detailer in case sh*t happens like bird doo doo

Try filling 1/2 or 3/4 full with hot water & a squirt of dawn then shake the $hit out of it, squirt through the cap & repeat. Usually 2 to 3 times & they're clean. I also use only 100% cotton for wax, micro fiber for drying. The cotton get washed after every use, the MF after 2 uses.

Definitely wash your towels in and have the water temp as hot as possible. No fabric softner though, it can leave residue on your car.

nice way to treat your car. I bet it is trashed compared to most of the cars on this forum.
