Default Beating Water Restrictions ?

Unfortunately the water restrictions are pretty harse in my area.

Water can be used for washing cars, watering lawns etc only
between 10PM and 10AM every other day.

IS there any way to beat the restrictions? My local car wash doesn't allow hand washing in their bays. My Sunday Morning's are sometimes unavailable, or I'm too hung over...... I don't want to pay someone else to wash my car, but what other choice do I have? Water restrictions suck!

Cry me a river. Here in Virginia, you can't wash your car or water your lawn AT ALL. Although law enforcement has admitted that there is no way they have the personnel to enforce it.

Sounds like you need to take a Saturday night off from partying and just get drunk Sunday morning at 10 after washing your car.

Heh, do something different and wash your car at night! That is, if it's not too cold.

For a quickie wash, are the touchless systems safe for my car? I'm sure you have all seen the "touchless carwash" at your local gas station....

Hrm... less drinking....thats a tough choice.

I heard the touchless car wash systems use re-claimed water sometimes, and it may contain minerals and deposits that would harm the paint. I also know that the "wipers" that run over the car as it's washed are more abrasive than you think.

When the stae water guy comes to write you a citation, just tell him he can drive your car around town.

What!!! I would rather pay the fine!!

I may have to break down, and pay the guys in my parking garage...I just keep having flahbacks from Ferris Bueler's day off when the parking garage attendants get ahold of his vette......

Z, I feel I must correct you as I have seen Ferris Bueler's Day Off approx. 7000 times. Cameron's dad's car is a Ferrari, not a Vette. I hear what you are saying though. Every time I think of an attendent or valet joy riding in a car, I picture that scene.

I'm on the south side in Jonesboro. You are correct sir, the water restrictions do not apply to businesses.

you could just ignore the ban like everyone in my neighborhood does , or do like I do and wash it in the garage, then you aren;t using water outside.
