Wax right away?
So I just got my Z last week. I thought I'd hear you shouldn't wax a brand new car because the paint is not fully cured. Any truth to this, and if so, how long?
I waxed mine, the dealers wax them(tho they said they use a "light was"; sure...)
no negative effects.
as far as Im concerned any merit to the statement might be for domestics. but our cars are built, painted, and then shipped, finally trucked to the dealer, then PDI. your lookin at a month or more of cure time.
wax on man.

Dissident,
I'm not totally sure, but I think that was back in the good ol' days before crappy, brittle, water-based paint was required. The solvents in older cars took a lot longer to settle and cure. Now you can pretty much go at it. I waxed right from the start, and my paint looks great.

considering when the car was made.(built date), most cars a at least 2 month old by the time your get them, so you can wax right away. i would stay away from any of the cleaner wax. use a nonabrasive wax instead. just be sure the surface is clean before you apply it on.
