8 coats of Zaino down the drain
All those hours, all that effort.
So I had 2 body panels repainted after getting keyed. But the body shop decided to wax the entire car. Some skunky wax too! On top of that, they dressed the tires with some grease that slung everywhere. I've washed my car twice and I still can't get some of it off. The worst is all the crap that got on my wheels. They were a breeze to clean with all the Zaino i had on them. Now I can't even get rid of the brake dust cause its stuck onto that greasey crap.
I think the only option left is to hit the car up with dawn and take a clay bar to it. And deep clean the tires and wheels with some hi-intesity stuff.

I would clay the car if there is any over spray on it, and chances are there is, I have not yet see one car come out of a body shop without it.

Good point Kevin. Using clay to remove overspray is a good idea. I suppose that's why it's called "overspray clay."
I was saying that using clay to remove wax is just silly.
Overspray is just paint where it shouldn't be. If the rest of the car wasn't properly masked when it was painted, you will have some spots that look like dust sitting on the surface.

They probably waxed all other panels and just compound buffed the newly painted area. Body shops sometimes think they are doing you a favor by waxing the rest of the car as the vast majority of population never, ever wax or polish their own cars. And who knows what kind of dirty cloths they used to rub off the wax they put on. When ever I have any body work done, if they are just working on one area, I tell them DO NOT buff or wax the areas where the work is NOT being performed.....

Basically when it doesn't smell like new paint; it has stopped gassing and it should be safe to polish it.

It stopped smelling like new paint after about two weeks in my case but I'm waiting 60 days just to be safe.
