Default Caring for my new paint...

Car goes to the shop Feb 9th to be stripped and repainted Redline. Once I get it back and spring time comes should I be ok using the Pinnacle and Klasse forum favorite kit to polish, seal and wax with? The new paint will not have many if any swirls so it needs a gentle polish and the Klasse sounds good to me so far...

Yes, that would be fine.

Secondly, if you're down with supporting the forum take a look at Detailed Image and Migliore .

I would recommend our original or Primo blend. There are great reviews on this forum.

My first recommendation is to consult the shop to see when you can protect the paint. Unless the paint is being baked they usually recommend you wait 30 - 90 days before applying any kind of sealant or wax. The Klasse AIO can help remove the most faint imperfections, but it's not really designed to remove swirls, etc. I would suggest using a light polish instead of just a chemical polish and then follow it up with a sealant.

I would try either the Menzerna PO106FF (my personal favorite) or the Menzerna Final Polish II first. This will help really remove light swirls and ensure you have the optimal shine. Next I would apply a durable sealant like the Klasse HGSG or my personal favorite is the Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 (which is also our January Monthly Special). These sealants will provide long lasting protection and a great shine. You can stop there or add a deeper shine and more protection with a natural wax. For red paint I love the Dodo Juice Orange Crush or the Poorboy's World Natty's Red Paste Wax. Both are great options for that "wet" look that really turns heads!

If I can provide any additional recommendations or advice to help you keep your new paint looking outstanding please let me know.

OP, are you getting your car completely stripped and repainted? I would like to do that somewhere down the line. If you don't mind saying, how much does it cost to get something like that done?
