Lightbulb Mr. Clean AutoDry Carwash.

Saw this product last night on TV and had to check out the web site. I have to say I'm pretty impressed and I went ahead and ordered one to see how it turns out with the Brickyard Z. Being that I go nuts each week trying to keep her clean.

It seems pretty simple and could help with the small scratches that show up while drying the car with a micro towel. The kit should be at my door in a few weeks and I'll do a follow up on the quality. If it sucks, then I'll use it on my PT Cruiser. If it rocks, well - then the PT Cruiser stays dirty.

Let us know how it works out ! I've got a Super Black Z here and I'm always interested in new technology that actually works.

Default Yep

Hopefully the product will turn out ok. I have so much trouble with the Brickyard color staying clean and also free of damage while I'm washing and drying the car. So far three times I've made a surface scratch with a micro fiber towel.

Stay tuned..

ehh.. try getting more towels and not dropping them! Its the same for any material you use on your car.. if it gets grime or foriegn objects in it... switch to a clean one!

Your car (or towel) are not clean if you are scratching it with a MF towel. Or you bought seriously junk towels.

Make sure you are using clean mitts and towels.

It looks cool, but I still bet you'll have to do some scrubbing by hand. Would like to hear from those who have tried it.

You just have to be careful when using MF towel because anything can get caught on the towel.

Default MF Towel problems

My MF towel problem occured after I washed the towels. They must have picked up some sand or somthing to cause some minor scratches in the clear coat (can be buffed out).

I ordered the kit and I am awaiting delivery - so I'm waiting to give it a try.

I think the main benefit that they are selling is it eliminates the need to dry the car.

If you take the nozzle off your hose, your car will sheet the water off without a $30 gadget. I do this and I could wipe off the remaining water with a couple of paper towels.

Did you make the mistake of washing your car towels with powder detergent? if so there is your scratching problem. Only use liquid detergent for car towels. And not all micro fibers are safe for auto finishes.

Its possible, inspect your paint under shop lights closely, look for fine hair line scratches and see for yourself...
