What is the best polish
The first wax I put on my Z was Mequiar's Gold Class - Liquid and I was extremely disappointed. The stuff didn't last more then a few weeks and there was nothing special about it.
Presently, I am using a wax that a local body shop guy gave my son. Our local Chevy dealership uses it on Corvettes.
However, after so many positive comments about Zaino I am ready to try it on my Chrome Silver Z. Also, it appears the Vette wax maybe somewhat abrasive and eventually will hurt the finish.
Finally, the group on this board are not a bunch of lemmings. These folks know a heck of a lot when it comes to cars and have been very helpful to me over the past eight months or so.

Dr Bonz...if i lived near you i would pay you to detail my car
...you have an unfair advantage with the brickyard though...i was driving today...and i noticed...that even a filthy black car shines better than a clean silver one...thanks for the compliment though....maybe i ought to try zaino..i looked at the system when i first got the car and it scared me off...what steps do i need....and i mean absolutely need...i dont want z1 thru z20...i want 2 or bottles max!

All you need is Z-2, Z-5, and of course ZFX. Oh wait, you gotta have Z-6, that is a must. Okay thats 4 items, but that is the minimum you need.
Hell, just buy the whole kit, its cheaper than buying 4 separate items.

Dr Bonz "Bare Minimum" for the best results:
Z-2 One bottle
Z-5 One bottle
Z-6 Two bottles
Z-7 One bottle
ZFX One bottle
That is roughly $78.00. What I have listed here will last you AT LEAST 6-8 months and that is if you layer it like I like to do.
If you only occasionally slap on a layer or two (not that there's anything wrong with that), it'll last you more than a year.
Compare that to the $15 to $20 you'll spend on every bottle of over the counter wax product that you have to rebuy every 2-3 months and that won't last, protect, or shine like Zaino.
And NO, I am not being paid or sponsored in any way to say this!

I "Ditto" Dr Bonz's reply. Look also at www.dftowel.com for some GREAT towels before going out and buying a bunch of 100% Cotton.
There are 2 main things I love about Zaino aside from the look:
1) With Redline, the Zaino provides UV40 sunblock to aid against fading paint wich is a real concern with this color and
2) It goes on and off so easy. I used to spend the better part of a day putting on and taking off wax, now I can put it on in the evening in 20 minutes, and remove it in 20 the following day or as little as 30 mins later.
And yeah, baby, you look marvelous.....

Try the Zymol Carbon or Japon on black paint. Clean it first with HDCleanse and the results will be outstanding.
