Default Inexplicable!!! Miraculous maybe?

OK last night I posted, here https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....hreadid=40505, that my Z got ambushed by a sprinkler while it was in a parking lot. After I washed & dried the car, in the shade, yesterday I put it back in the garage. Last night I went in the garage and noticed these horrible hard water spots on the hood, under the garage lights. These were the real tough kind, the worst enemy water spots. I took my Z6 and tried that on a sample area of the hood. I concentrated a great deal of effort on a few spots. They would not come out in the very least. All the spots were very, very noticable under the garage lights. So I fumed and came in here to do a search about the topic and I posted.
Today I parked the car on the street and it was sunny and in the 80's. I could not see the spots under sunlight and figured only under lights at night could you see them well. So tonight comes along and I figure I'll go in the garage and try and find a new solution to remove the spots. I turn on the lights and go to the hood. And to my complete amazement I can find no spots whatsoever. I looked and looked and looked and then after that I looked a heck of a lot more from every angle I could. Nothing, except for one spot that, to my utter disbelief, was the very one spot that I tried my damnedest to remove last night. These spots, and I swear to you their was a lot of them, seemed impossible to remove last night and now they are gone, gone, gone. I don't get it!!! I'm not insane and I have an IQ of 127. I still can't believe it and what I do believe is that the next time I look they will be there, but they ain't there now. WTF???

You must be really proud of your IQ! I'm a Marine so I'm just glad i know how to wash and dry my car.
Well, at least they're gone, i guess the sun did the trick.

Hey fresno - yes, just finished flight school (NFO). I'll be going to Whidbey Island for Prowlers in about 3 weeks. Can't wait to get to the west coast for a while! What avionics do you instruct on?
Ya know, Marines like to make fun of ourselves for not being too bright, but most guys I know are pretty damn quick. Hell, even i was able to pull out a physics major from college. Don't know about IQs though, seems weird to have someone give you one test and they can tell you how smart you are. (Kind of like the military and MOS's right) I remember a thread on here of a guy who worked with a girl in that high IQ club and he said she was pretty clueless.

I guess since the spots are gone, its ok to go off topic now right?

i instruct F/A-18 avionics......we just started teaching the joint mounted helmet cueing system (jmhcs). that stuff is pretty crazy. i heard the prowlers are going to go away sometime and be replaced by an F/AE-18G or some version like that?

Well, the Navy is getting the G, we'll probably get all their old Prowlers and fly them until they fall apart. It would be great if we got some G's while I'm still in though. I was able to spend some time in the sim and it was pretty crazy.
Is the JMHCS like the helmet mounted sites of the apaches? What will they do for the hornet?
