Default Found a GREAT way to apply Zaino

Thought I'd share this little tip from Ira, who is the local LA distributor for Zaino.

He suggested using a syringe to mix Z-2 and ZFX, if you can find them. So last night I tried it - picked up a few old (but clean and unused) 35cc Monoject syringes with caps from work and pulled the plunger out.

The correct mixture is 1 drop of ZFX for every 6ml (or 6cc for you medical types) of Z-2 or Z-5. With the gradations on the syringe, it's very easy to do. After you put in the ingredients, put the plunger back in, and shake.

A syringe works great! Plus, there's absolutely no waste of product - I was able to put on 2 coats of Zaino last night with exactly 12ml of Z-2 and 2 drops of ZFX.

Dunno if they sell syringes of this size at your local medical supply, but give it a try if they do.

A bit overkill isn't it?

Haha nice. You doctors do things your own way.

I like having a little excess sometimes. I normally go back over spots I didnt get well enough the first time. Very cool idea though.

Heh, maybe. But still - it's a nice, efficient way to use your Zaino without a lot of waste. Plus, it's very easy to apply Z-2 onto the applicator - just 'inject' a little of it on. No blobs, spills, etc.

Gives a whole new meaning to being "on the needle".

I simply mark my 2 oz. ZFX bottles in 1/2 ounce increments. It is easy to measure 1/4 ounce intervals and use 4 drops per ounce.

The new Z2 and Z5 have a "anticling" type property where they don't cling to the bottle like before
