Default so was my origonal clay crap, or is the new stuff better?

I had zaino clay for my car, I got it a year ago. I used both bars, and both of them were hard and stiff, they stuck to the car a good bit, and to be honest, I felt like they were a waste... but I was a zaino newbie and not one to bash something that Ive seen so highly regaurded.

but now after using both bars on 2 different cars. I bought a new can to use one on my sisters new volvo, its 3 years old, but in impeccable condition. shes payin me off to give it the full treatment.

so I wash.... then I pull out the clay. immediatly I feel a difference. its softer, its smoother... I use the dawn solution spray down a section of the hood, and the clay molds to the lines, gliding over the spots as I can feel it smooth out. I run my finger across the paint and its like glass. the clay begins to thin from me working with it, the old clay I couldnt even fold it onto itself, it wouldnt bend at all, let alone thin out as I worked with it.

anyway, long story short, it felt like it worked, and had a purpose, a bit disappointed that the clay I used on my Z didnt feel this way.

so was the clay forumula updated with the other formulas, or did I have a mistake batch?

Ill take some pics tomarrow, its drying overnight.

Almost sounds like your first batch was somewhat dried out.

Zaino clay has changed once, the other clay you had was the original, the new clay you got last has been reformulated to be a little softer to mold easier. I do NOT advise using a Dawn solution to clay with, it makes the clay turn into mush sometimes.

I would advise my customers to make a clay solution using Z-7 (1/2 cap full) in 16 to 20 ounces of water. If you do not have Z-7 Zaino car wash, use another kind of car wash soap.
