Default Fine vs Medium Grade Clay

Im going to grab some Clay Magic clay from Detailed Image today and I was thinking of trying the medium grade clay.

My car went through a pretty rough winter and has a lot of crap embedded in it. Will the medium grade clay scratch my paint at all, or be more abrasive than fine grade clay?

I detail my car by hand, and do not use a machine polisher.

Ive used the fine grade with great results, should I give the medium grade a try?

^ Thanks, look like I'll be sticking with the fine grade.

I almost always recommend a fine grade bar. The medium grade bar is for very heavy contaminants like tons of tar, paint over spray, etc. The Clay Magic Fine Grade Clay Bar is a great bar, but you may get a better value from our DI Accessories Gentle Fine Grade Clay which is made from the same mfg as Clay Magic. Additionally another great value is our clay and lube combo (DI Packages DI Clay Bar and Clay Lube Combo) for only $23.99. Let me know if you have any questions.
