Default WD40 can clean very well

My Z's engine had gotten dirty and most parts are fairly easy to clean but the intake manfold is prob the hardest since im not going to buy one anytime soon i decided to clean it i tryed some soap an hot water nothing i was going to go to autozone to buy something but i just looked around an tryed some WD40 it works very well you can see the dirt an grime get removed right away an it also says on the can can be used as a cleaner. i did not take before pics but here are some after pics so works good just dont use it when your engines hot.

WD40 is a simple petroleum distillate with 1,000 uses. Very sharp. How many miles on the motor?

This is great, I actually recently got some oil on my intake manifold and have been meaning to clean it, thanks for sharing! Don't mean to be Buzz Killington, but you should probably get a heat shield/box for the intake, its probably sucking a ton of hot engine air in that location.

I love WD40, When I was in Iraq I always used WD40 to clean my MK19. Worked better than anything else.

Hot Rodders for several years have used WD-40 to shine up their engines and chrome for car shows. I use WD-40 to get road tar and bug juice off also.

no i didn't spray everything the hoses i clean with a product called back to black using a cloth. the only part i used WD40 for was for the intake manifold an i didn't spray it to much i didn't want to get it all over the place. i just sprayed little sections at a time. Then wiped away the dirt with a cloth Im afraid of any kind of liquid getting into any kind of electrical connection how this helps
