Default $$$ for a extreme detail?

I havent checked with local shops..but I have a question for any professional detailers on this site.

What would one pay for a extreme detail?

I mean...from top to bottom, including engine, all scratches removed, cut polished, waxed, take off the wheels and clean the rotors, clean and dress engine, clean and fix any imperfections in the paint and the interior?

Like a 2 day job?

I know a guy whos got a new Lambo..who pays 1200 bucks for a 2 day session with the car at his local detailer.

Does it depend on the car?

Just wanted to ask...

I would say that it definately depends on the car. Detailing and polishing a white or silver car is going to be easier than a red or black car. Also, some cars have harder clear coats than others meaning more polishing time. An exotic car would cost more because if something gets messed up by the detailer, it is going to cost more to fix. If you were to compare the amount of work in cleaning a Lamborghini Murcielago SV to a 350z, the Lambo would be much harder because the exterior has a lot of small panels making it much harder to polish and a lot of corners making it easier to burn through the paint. Interior fabrics such as alcantara and suede are going to be harder to clean than standard leather and vinyl.

I used to detail cars as my only job, but have pursued a different career due to market saturation in my area. If I were to detail a car now, I would look to get around $50/hr which would bring a two day job to approximately $800. I would say that the price for the lambo might not be too ridiculous if it is brought to a fixed location detailer that is well know and charges a premium for their services.

I'd expect to pay at least $50/hr like shaun123 mentioned. I do it for "fun" (not a professional) and I charge $20/hr and typically spend 6-8 hours on a car for just exterior and interior. I've never bothered cleaning an engine beyond the basics, I wouldn't call it "detailing" at my level.

OP, keep in mind that an oil change for most Lamborghinis will easily cost $1,200 from an authorized dealer
