Default I almost killed a man

I just saw a guy washing his black Z in one of those coin-op stalls in uptown Dallas with the foaming brush. I was at a stoplight and got to witness this for about 20 seconds, and almost had a heart attack. My girlfriend failed to understand why I was making such a big deal about it. Please tell me this was not anyone on this forum. The car was black with the 17 inch rims. I can only imagine how many little scratches are in the finish now.

What damage he did in 10 min of washing with that stupid plastic bristle brush would take me hours and hours of multiple step compound buffing and polishing with my Porter Cable to fix.....

Thats one reason I hate to buy a used car and also even if I order one I want it right off the truck before the yahoos at the dealership get their chance to scratch the heck out of the finish.

I am forced to use those stalls here at college bc there are not many (if any) hoses around, but I always take my own bucket/soap/mitt and just use the water.

Those foam brushes are horrible!!! I never use them, but always see other people using them!

Big whoop. I wash my cars at the car wash stall and use the brush. I use an orbital buffer when I wax them as well. Saves me tons of time. It's not like it's a Porsche, Ferrari, or Lamborghini.

Michael.

A few winters ago, I saw a dirt-caked Jeep Grand Cherokee pull into one and, without rinsing, he proceeded to start scrubbing away at the dirt. Horrible!
