Default Give the Gift of Zaino!

This weekend was my dad's 64th birthday. My sister (the one with the little SLK 230 SC'ed Mercedes that I Zainoed and posted pics of a little while back) and I decided to do a full Zaino detailing on his Jag XK8. My dad isn't much for taking care of his cars other than letting someone else "wash and wax" it every so often.

We "stole" the car Saturday morning and in the 40 degree "heat" of beautiful western PA, we Dawned, clayed, Z-7, dried, Z-6, Z-5 with ZFX, Z-6, Z-5 no ZFX overnight, and buffed. I took the final layer off this morning and Z-6ed it and delivered it to him today when I went down to his house to watch the Eagles game (a tradition we have done for over 20 years now). He loved it!

Here are some pics:

Default uncensored license plates

Dr. Bonz, I'm not sure if you noticed but I just wanted to let you know that your dad's plates are uncensored in the pics. Tried PMing you but your box is full.

Looks great, but you know what it needs, me being a detailer, it just screems out to me. The fender wells need dressing/painting. Some satin black www.por15.com would make the fenderwells look brand new and not look dirty all the time. I coat all my cars and trucks fender wells with POR. I also do the frame, axels, sway bars, etc......

I thought about the uncensored plate as well but I have never really been a big worrier over that. I mean, what could someone do by seeing a car's plate on the internet that they couldn't do just by seeing the car parked anywhere. I have never censored my plates when I post my pics but if someone can give me a good reason, I'll start doing it.

Good call on the fender wells Kevin. The thing is though, they really don't look that bad in person. The camera flash always seems to accentuate that effect.

Someone might actually print the picture of u drinking the Z-7 and slide it under your dad's wiper and scare the crap of him. I know I would if I see his car.

I agree, nothing turns me off more about a nicely detailed car than dirty fender wells.

Of course I clean underneath the car too so call me crazy!

honestly Dr Bonz - all this talk about Zaino...i think i might have to try it.

i was all into CG...but, i haven't waxed my car in ages! i claybar'd all the wax off of the car the last time i did anything. i think i am going to start from scratch and try zaino.

the car is going into the shop (storage) for the winter...so, maybe i'll do it before it get put in the showcase!

bonz - you are a true zaino salesman! haha.

(also, tell your dad to lower the car and get rid of the gap...haha)
