Default Review on Mr. Clean AutoDry

Alright, Well after 3 months of waiting and a long long complaint letter demanding my kit I paid for, it is here! Mr. Clean Auto Dry!
Well, let me start by first impressions:
1) Now I know why I had to wait so long, such a quality product for only 30 dollars. Here are 2 pics of the box it arrived in:

2) The object sprayer is huge. Here is a pic of how big it actually is:

3) I recieved 2 starter filters and 2 starter soap bottles. The filters both say 3 washes per filter and this is something that upsets me. They don't advertise this anywhere on the site. Note: The refill filters have about 11 washes in them. Each soap bottle fills the object sprayer full 1 and 1/2 times. So two bottles of starter soap = 3 full tanks. Since I have yet to use it, I am unsure how much soap is used per wash. I assume that Mr. Clean made it porportional to that of the filter so 1 and 1/2 tanks of soap per 3 washes? I will let you all know later.

Total, I spent around 36 dollars and change and I am very pleased thus far. I have not had a chance to use it yet, but I will post pics of the drying proccess when I do. Another BIG thing to think about is their Spot Free Guarantee. I thought this was a load of BS when I first bought it, but sure enough on the instuctions, box, everywhere is pasted how to get your money back if you are not satisfied. They offer a full 1 year money back guarantee on a COMPLETELY spot free shine. Sounds great to me. What do you guys think so far? I will wash with it tomarrow.

A review of it on Autopia.org indicates the final rinse of deionized water comes out in a very small stream. The guy said it was like trying to rinse your car with a water pistol. He was very disappointed.

This is propoganda! Actually I went and found the pic. He must have messed his up or dropped it, because mine is a fairly large coverage area mist.

so? worth buying?

or just grab some microfiber towels and a california blade?

did the soap do as good a job as normal soap?

after it was dry, if you spray it with water; does it still bead up or does it sheet off?

Okay, overall I feel it was completely worth the 40 bucks. I absolutly love the results. A higher quality camera would show it better, but these pics are only a fraction of goodness of the appearance in real life. I have microfiber towels and a CA blade and nothing compares to this. I literally washed a black car in direct sunlight and 75 degrees. And I left the car WET! and it dried spotless. I spent 15 minutes washing and letting dry when I normally spend an hour average drying my car with towels and a CA Blade.
The soap was great! VERY VERY soapy, not as much suds but it gave the car a very very wet look to it. Everything jsut evaporated as it was drying! I am amazed. Did a great job overall. I say the AutoDry Soap is even better than Zaino Car wash. which I used every time since I bought the car.

so as you wash, I assume you rinse with regular water, then go over the whole car with the deionized stream?

or do you spray with soap, wash, rinse with deionized only?

You wash and rinse with reg water. Then Deionize mist over it all.

One question:

Why does the price you quote in your posts go from $30 to $36 to $40? Inflation is a b*tch...

I am worried about this as well. You will be able to buy these in stores soon if not already. Refils and soap will also come in stores. I guess If they dont have it, i will have to go back to cali water blade and whatnot untill i can buy more. I am not waiting 12 weeks for a damn filter.

If you wanted to, could you use the Zaino soap instead with this product?

If mine tests out OK, I intend to use it only for the final rinse so I don't have to dry my car. You can wash the car with whatever you want.
