CrystalGuard: Say Good-Bye to WAX TODAY!!
I have a couple questions (with regards to CG Quick), hopefully someone can help me out with:
1) Just got my new Z (WOO HOO!!!) and the dealer put a clear coat on it. Can I apply CGQ over that? Will it reduce the effectiveness of CGQ? Is there anything else I need to think about with respect to applying CGQ and the clearcoat?
2) My washing supplies are supposed to be coming in the mail from properautocare.com but I haven't had a chance to do my first wash yet. How soon after the first wash can I apply the CGQ? Do I have to use/buy the CG Wash if I plan on using CGQ? Or can I continue using the car shampoo I just bought?
3) If I apply too much and I get a haze, on the CG website it says that you can lightly buff it out. What would be the best way to do that? I don't have a buffer or anything like that, so it would be all elbow grease. When I think of buffing I think of "Wax on, wax off Daniel-san" circular motions, but I thought that circular motions cause the dreaded "swirls" in your paint. What am I missing?
4) If anyone has any suggestions or hints they want to pass on to a COMPLETE novice in auto detailing, please feel free. I am trying to do the right thing with my new Z, but I feel a little lost and a lot overwhelmed.
5) I was going to order the CrystalGuard Quick Application Kit and I put in the coupon code and instead of getting 20% off, I got 2%. Is this kit not part of the special?
Thanks a lot to everyone on this site for providing all this great information!!

We do have another special in may, but Shhh......don't tell anyone
We recently have sponsored the RX8club.com website and are running a special of 15% off this month with the discount code RX8SPECIAL. We do seem to be having problems with our online store and we're trying to remedy it. If you or anyone has problems with the store, you can contact me directly or email me at jim@crystalguard.com and I'll take care of you...

I'm trying to order the CGQ over the website right now, but it seems to be stuck on the Checkout / New Member page. I must admit that it is 2am PST so there's probably some maintenance going on, but nevertheless.. a bit disappointed that I couldn't order this ASAP
. I'll try again first thing tomorrow morning.
I have a friend who loves the s2000 in black (he had a black RSX-S once). But he's such a perfectionist that he could never stand the fact that the black only stayed clean for so long.. that spots, swirls, and dullness came back so quickly after a wash and wax. So instead, he's going with a white s2000 instead (still nice).
With CGQ, maybe I can make him eat his decision and reconsider
. Gotta love those shiny black cars: they are oh so rare.

QUESTIONS FOR THE EXPERTS....
I have three layers of CG quick right now over 3 weeks the most recent layer being about 5 days old.
I want to put the pro kit on now and want to know if i need to remove the CG quick that i have on now for best results and if so how is the best way to remove it???
Just a heads up for people, we realize the online store is having diffuculties. We are trying to get a new server so for now it is a bit slow. If anyone has problems, feel free to email me directly at jim@crystalgaurd.com and I'll take your order. It will probably take less time anyways.
OK. I want to try Crystal Guard. I current have the Klasse Acrylic Sealant on the car. Should I first use the Klasse all-in-one to remove the sealant and then start with the primer? The instruction video indicates using an air sprayer for the primer and base coat. Is that an absolute requirement to start with the primer? Somewhat expensive to go buy one. Since the car is only 3 months old, what about first using the Klasse all-in-one to eliminate the sealant and then use the CG Quick? The video for CG Quick shows spraying it on from the bottle.
You should use CG Primer frist. It removes all the exessives; wax and stain completely. Ones the vehicle is completely wax and stain free, you can apply the base coat and top coat.
Application with a spray gun is ideal, but you can apply with sponge too.
Thanks
