You can even use sponge... and you can use towel too. but still 100% cotton is rough though. As long as you are careful enough, cotton towel is fine.

Advantage of microfiber is that its fiber is SO FINE (0.17 dtex: 0.17 gram per 10,000 meters) and you can even wipe oil, and also it is VERY easy to wipe holdover after application.

Anyway, you can use any towel. It's up to you.

Thank you

I'm probably blind, but I don't see a coupon code, nor was it included when I hit the link.

Can you let me know what it is? I'm interested in trying the product, and if I can get 10% off, all the better.

My coupon worked and I already recieved my second bottle.

To confirm some others confusions.

1. It's a 6.75 Oz bottle, there was a thread on this elsewhere as to how much you got.

2. It says right on the bottle the instructions, step 1. 2. 3. it's that easy.

I use a 4th tip though that works even better

I let it sit on and dry for 2 hours in the shade.

An extra 30 minutes to wipe clear but worth it. Others don't have to do this you still get great results, I was just experimenting.

3. It says right on the bottom of the bottle "Developed in Japan KozMez LLC"

Mine will go on the day before track night, 2 more coats. Want my car to look good! No Z has been out there yet!

Question. Does this stuff help in protecting the paint from debris? I mean, since it makes a sorta "layer" over the paint, does it aid in protecting it more from rock chips since that seems to be important from the weak paint on the Z?

Hehe.......

Not at all,

This is what I did with my 3rd application,

Rinse, Rewashed with CGW, Rinse, apply CGQ with microfiber (my own bought locally) applied full coat while car was still wet until all areas were hazed (it's easy to see.)

(Lather rinse repeat) J/K

Let sit 2 hours in the shade, temps were about 65 degrees.

Took it for a ride to rid it of water droplets and let it sit again (hate those water droplets and the ride was fun.)
Don't roll down your windows!

Rinsed it off. I only had to lightly buff 3 areas that afternoon then two more the next morning (small areas) it comes off real easy without the visable white lines in the grooves from other waxes and polishes I have paid others to use! It's not like you are out there buffing for hours a water rinse removes 80 % of it!
The windows need to be cleaned real good though that takes a few more minutes if you do them (next for me is rims!)

I tell you I am a Detail DIYer now!

P.S. Thanks for the invite, how close are you to San Mateo? I am considering HIN ( Hot Import Nights) on 4-5-03 there but hate to make promises because I have a crazy schedule and my track date is 4-2-03.

Nice ride Mr. B,

I would say yes mine has been down the freeway for about 500 miles since applying so I can honestly speak on that. I think *any* layer is better than the stock clear coat! Even 5 coats of Carnuba if you have that much time (I don't)

Edit sleepy typos (heads to store for Red Bull!)

All I can say is it's relatively harder than paint.
Since I repainted front bumper of my modena and CrystalGuarded, I get less rock chips. Still the same crazy driving Even if CG layer has very strong hardness, it is only MICRO thin layer. You can or course scratch it.

Is this the same stuff as the "Bliss" glass coating they sell in Japan?

same manufacturer, I think. CG has got latest version of chemical, though.

CrystalGuard has got the exclusive distributionship contract out side of Japan from manufacturer and inventor.

Question: Does Crystal Guard actually reduce the amount of swirl marks like Zaino (Z2 & Z5), or does it simply make the car shine brighter? If it does not reduce the amount of swirl marks, can I just put on a couple of layers of zaino and then top it off with CG?
Also...if I wanted to remove everything, including the CG, what would I need to do? Can I just use a clay bar and do the normal thing people do to remove waxes, or is removing CG just not an option?

Thanks in advance!

CGQ fills very small swirls but not all. any products claims about filling swirls are not permanent, though. YOu can still use CGQ over other products too. It still protect paint.

You can just use wax over CGQ. We also have chemical to remove CGQ but no one ordered it for long time........

What about using with the 3m clear bra? Should you apply under the bra before installing? Over the top after application?
