Default Power washing engine bay

Has anyone ever tried to power wash their engine bay?
Is it safe to do so?
I couldn't find any answers on here, but I did a google search and found two sides on power washing. Some say it's OK and some say not to.
I'm just afraid of hydro-locking my motor, since I have a CAI with bypass on it and I don't want to screw anything up.

Any input?
Any experience?

No never use a power washer, that is too much water and will possible damage some of your electronics
