Default I will be taking my car in to Stongard

I decided to take my car in for the 3M paint protection.

Cost $400 installed. I have to drop my car in for 8 hrs

Will keep you all posted on how it goes...

I am taking my car in on 3rd Oct. I know thats long time but they dont have any opening before that. Thou I am on call might be able to get one eariler.

You can but the installer will just strip the wax before installing the film, or at least they are supposed to for proper adhesion. You can wax on top of the film. I think films that are clear-coated take best to being waxed (like 3M). I do not speak from experience. Just passing along what I read.

Does anyone think this is going to seriously limit the amount of shine you can get from the areas of the car covered by the film? I would like to have the film for protection, but I don't want to get it if it means that the front of my car is going to be dull in comparison to the rest of the car that has had the paint polished to a shine. I understand the film can be waxed, but that won't make the paint deeper and more refective, right?
