Smoothness after Z-7?
My Z has up to 6 layers of Zaino now (4 layers of Z5, 2 layers of Z2 and numerous layers of Z6 in between). After I washed it with Z-7, I feel the surface with my fingers but it's not as smooth as I expected. I can barely feel particles...not sure if this happens to anyone. My car doesn't have visible swirls or scratches.
Does using Z6 in between layers of wax and after washing really do anything? Really though, not propaganda. It seems spraying it on and then wiping it off with a microfiber towel serves no purpose. It's not like it sticks to the car. I mean you just waxed it, that should be as smooth and as clean as it gets and it seems that adding the next layer of wax will likely adhere to that first coat better than it would to Z6. If I were a chemist, I'd do some experiments on this subject to prove or disprove the theory.
it does help get dust and other particles off before you wax. And after you wash, apply Z6 and you car will shine like it was just waxed, and the smoothness will be there.

Have you clayed your car???? It removes all the surface contaminants to get back to the smooth as glass feel.

I don't know for sure if the Z-6 between every layer has paid off. All I can go by are MY results.

For those that have multiple Zaino layers on the car, I don't think you clay your car before the next layer of Zaino right?
Use the Z-7 as a lube and run the claybar over the paint lightly. It'll remove the junk without removing your Zaino.
If you want to REALLY deep clean, you may need to wash with Dawn, clay with Dawn and then do the regular routine.

No, you don't need to clay between layers but since you never did, and since you are feeling particles on the paint, I would suggest you do it.

I use 3 or 4 times more Z-6 than any Zaino polish, and I sell about that many times more Z-6 than anything. I Z-6ed both my black truck and car last night in my shop as a matter of fact. I either California dust and/or Z-6 the vehicle that I drove to work that day each night, ready to roll the next morning looking like a million dollars, my co-workers are amazed me showing up with a show room fresh car each morning and their's looks like *** and it has not even rained or snowed in weeks..... its all in what you use, the knowledge you have, and how you use it.....
Kevin, I agree. For detailing and dusting there is nothing better than Z6. I highly recommend it for keeping a car looking its cleanest between washes. I was just questioning it's use in between coats of wax or just after waxing. Seems to me that it serves a lesser purpose in those instances.
