Default Cold weather states: Are you having as hard of time washing your car as me?

It's snowed here in Kansas twice in the last 3 weeks or so. Can't seem to find time to wash my car. It's either way too cold out or too dark when I get home or there's too much ice/snow/slush still left on the road/street/parking lots. It's suppose to rain here Thursday so I'm either going to try to go to a car wash when I get off work or I'll just wait until this weekend to do it.

Cold is nothing. I've fully detailed my car and not been able to feel my hands afterwards. Dedication trumps pain.

Use hot water. At least that keeps your hands warm while washing.

use rinseless (optimum no rinse) wash and warm water. If the car is real dirty hit up a self serve wash and rinse the big stuff off then rinseless wash.

Yup warm water and do little sections at a time. Salt on the underbody is the real killer tho

Nope not at all my car stays clean all winter long, cause it never sees snow...... My truck on the other hand gets all the winter abuse, and I take it to a car wash station every 2-3 weeks. Yea weather has been crazy in Kansas, but like others have said hot water or if you're able to do it, in your garage.

I did a drive threw wash then a home wash with two buckets one soapy water the other the rinse bucket. Luckily it was 36 degrees here yesterday so it wasn't to bad. Do small sections and you shOuld be fine

If you want to wash by hand here are two great ways to do so in the winter months.

Let me know if you have any questions!
