Zaino Double Take
Thinking that two heads are better than one when trying to figure out the Zaino process, Jason (J350) came over yesterday and we gave it a shot.
Not really knowing what we were doing, I think we did a pretty good job. Thanks to Dr. Bonz, Brad and the others who have posted Zaino information here.
We washed the car with dawn, then clayed, washed with Z-7, then Z-2 w/ZFX, Z-6, Z-2 again and a final Z-6. I'm sure the effects on Chrome Silver aren't as noticable as it is on darker colors, but they still looked great and the surface is as smooth as glass.

Frank,
I'm impressed you still went out that night, I just crashed at home & watched a movie. Still feeling some effects of the soreness today at work.
Rouxeny,
I'm not in bad shape, but could use more conditioning, its funny b/c I was planning on going to the health club that morning, but told Frank I'd just go afterward...yeah right I was in no shape to lift anything after that
Jewlez,
We wouldn't have a meet w/o inviting you...figured it was too far for you to drive just for a day of Zaino'ing. Did you end up getting the 3M treatment on your Z?

Dan,
That is the Zaino tire dressing. Jason brought it over. Seems to work pretty good. We'll see how long it lasts.
This Sunday may work for me if I don't end up playing golf. October 5 and 6 I have to work a trade show at McCormick all weekend, so I would have to push it out to the following weekend.

Really is about time to get in shape. When polishing your car makes you sore...things have got to change.

Dawn won't damage the clearcoat, it just removes any excess old wax that's built up on top of it. They don't reccomend using Dawn all the time, just the first time you do the Zaino process.

Using an alkaline on the paint removes some of the plasticisers. So using it more than once a year is NOT recomended. The "A" of the ABC system is alkaline, but the acidity of the B restores the plasticisers.
