I washd my car and noticed some minor scratches on my mirrors, nothing through the clearcoat, so I used some Mequires ScratchX and applid it lightly to the mirrors. When I removed the dftowel applicator that I was appling it with it was pink! You would have thought I was using 600Grit sandpaper. I couldn't see and damage done to the mirrors, but what the hell...I've used scratchx on the hood, the top, portions of the door, the spoiler and never this type of problem. What do you guys make of it? Is there a clearcoat on the mirrors? Or maybe mine just missed this process.

 

Mirrors are probably plastic whereas the hood, roof and doors are metal. I've noticed when using Zaino on the front and rear that the applicator picks up a little blue tint; both are plastic so I assumed that was the reason.
