Zaino on Clear Bra?
So you get a new Z. Should you Zaino the whole car before having a clear bra installed? Or does it not matter?
In my case, I had a clear bra installed a week after I got the Z. Do you apply Zaino on top of the clear bra?
I'm new to Zaino as well. After a few Zaino applications, can one see a big difference between the Zaino'd paint and the non-Zaino'd paint with clear bra on top?

Its better to have the bra put on before you apply any sort of polish on the paint. Once the clear bra has cured, you can apply polish on top of it. Zaino works great on the clear bra. Bugs fall right off!
They will have to strip off any polish before they apply the clear bra so it's best to not put it on before hand. Afterwards, go right ahead and Zaino after the bra has dried appropriately. Treat it just like the rest of the paint and Zaino away!
Just try not to get any wax on the edge of the plastic bra (where the bra ends and the car finish begins). If you get any wax on the edge of the plastic it will be impossible to get the wax out of there are you will have a very noticable line.
If you use "wax" that may be a problem but Zaino (a polish) doesn't leave any powery white residue like some waxes. If you do get something on the edge of the clear bra, use a soft wooden toothpic and gently run it along the edge to remove it. You can also try a Q-tip but it's not quite as good.
Great info! My Zaino order arrives this Friday so I'll apply my first coat on Saturday!!
Do the instructions say to apply Zaino in the shade only? Does the car have to be "cool" before applying the polish?

It'll dry a lot faster in the sun. I wouldn't recommend using the ZFX in direct sunlight as it will dry faster than you can get the whole car covered. It is much harder to remove in this case and some have described streak marks that take a lot of buffing to get rid of.
In the shade you can leave it on pretty much as long as you like. If you don't use ZFX, you can leave it on forever and not have any trouble taking it off very easily. WITH the ZFX though, it can be a little harder to buff off if you leave it on over night in my experience. It's not impossible, just a little harder.
No, it doesn't destroy it, it is just hard to buff off. It tends to streak a bit on dark cars when you do this. It'll still work just fine, you just have to work a lot harder to buff out the streaks.
I have had this happen to me once and I simply misted with Z-6 and buffed again and it was fine.
As for the alcohol and Zaino, the guys over at Autopia have mentioned that one way to remove Zaino is to use alcohol. That's why I wouldn't use it on Zaino.

Not according to Sal. I suppose if you clayed the car vigorously enough with Dawn as a lube it would remove it.
When you lightly clay the car with Z-7 it doesn't remove it.
I refer to this thread as proof of that:

YEAH! My package finally came in and spent 5 hours putting on the Zaino on it with the same results as everyone else (squeeky clean to smooth as silk).
I want to put on a couple coats of Z-5 to get ride of those hairline scratches. I won't do that for a few days. After driving it around, the Z has collected a light amount of dust. So, the QUESTION is, do I just spray Z-6 and wipe off the dust in preparation for applying Z-2/Z-5 down the road? Or do I need to give it a rinse and dry first and then apply the polish?

..its a sealant, not a cleaner so there is no abrasiveness
