Default Wax Dust?

I used Meguiar's NXT wax this weekend and noticed it dusts a LOT. It was hard to get all the wax dust off, I kept having to wipe the car over and over again.

I was thinking about buying a california duster to stop this, but then was wondering is the fact it's dusting that much mean it's on the car too long? too short?

I used the Meguiars show car gloss #26, let it haze, and it dusted MUCH less..

Any hints/suggestions?

I used NXT last weekend and it attracks dust like crazy. I thought zaino was bad, but I'm switching back to it this weekend.

Ricky:

Maybe you put it on too thick. When you wipe it off, all that extra wax may be building up in the towel then dropping off on the car as "dust". I used to see that with old paste waxes.

Yeah. I ended up slapping the pad and dust would just fly out... but I didn't even apply that much? I did about a quarter drop for each panel/door..ect.

Probably to much wax, Try putting it on thinner and slap the towel every few swipes to get out what you just removed. Also the California duster works fine but a damp cotton towel will do the same thing.

You need to buy some DETAILING SPRAY, Meguiars sells two kinds, the Quick Detailer and Final Inspection, using a detailer spray after wiping off any kind of wax or polish will always make the job twice as nice and remove any kind of dust or extra wax or polish........
