Pinnacle Souveran Wax - Any Good?
I am considering buying Pinnacle Souveran Wax but before I spend 60 dollars I thought I would get some opions. Any one tried this wax before? How well does it shine and does it really give the car a deeper, more liquid shine than other waxes? Also, how is the durability? I am particularly interested in how this compares to P21s, which is my current favorite carnauba wax. Any thoughts or experiences would be great. Thanks in advance.

I use Souveran on my 911. My wife doesn't get her 350Z until this weekend. Anyway, I used to use Zaino on my 911 before the Souveran. Zaino lasts a lot longer than Souveran, however on black or red cars Souveran is better.
As a caveat, if my 911 was a daily driver, I would use Zaino. But since it's more of a garage queen I use Souveran on it. Actually, I use Gold Class topped off with Souveran.
Shop around online, I think you can get Souveran for about $50. It is easier to apply than Zaino. BTW, pick up a bottle of Pinnacle's quick detailer too. It is some awesome stuff.

Wow, its about time someone replied to this post! I had it up there for over a week. Thanks a lot for your input, your car looks amazing! I have been using zaino since I got my Z, about 16 months ago. Its a great product and I couldn't be happier with it, but I did recently switch to P21S. I guess I just needed a change and wanted to try out a carnauba for their superior depth and liquidity. Thats why I was considering Souveran, which is supposed to be amoung the best carnaubas available, along with P21s and some others. Your shine speaks for itself, especially in the poor lighting of the guarage. You should take your pictures outside on a partly couldy day. Theres nothing like the reflection of a blue sky and a few crystal clear coulds on black paint! But thanks again for the input, a few more good responses and I may buy Souveran after all...
I used to use P21S and didn't care for it. It had a tendency to streak on my black paint. If you like German waxes, here is a link to new German wax. I haven't tried it but I'm thinking of it. I don't see how it could top Souveran though.

Very good MarkY! But I'm a step ahead on that one, I recently bought the Menzerna FMJ and used it on a '98 Black Corvette. The wax went on and came off easier than anything I've ever used. It also left the slickest surface I have ever been able to achieve while detailing a car. The paint was very shiny when I was done and improved an already smooth, freshly polished finish. I havn't used it on my Z yet though because it does not have a quick detail spray like Zaino or Blackfire (which I have and love) and also because I haven't been able to evaluate the paint quality in direct sunlight. I also haven't been able to properly judge the durability because I waxed the car 2 weeks ago. So, its definatly a very good product and I can say I would highly reccomend it. I just need to give it more time to see if its worthy of my Z. Also, I wanted to try a carnauba for the summer. I'll probably get sick of that soon though and switch back to a synthetic. There just too much easier to work with and last so much longer.
Maybe I'll give the Menzerna a try. If your Z is a daily driver, go with the Zaino over the summer. Try out the Souveran or the Menzerna in the fall.
I tell you what though, I can apply and remove a coat of Souveran faster than I can apply and remove a coat of Zaino.

It goes on that easy huh? Thats impressive because Zaino is pretty easy to use in general. Does souveran shine brighter than zaino or is it just deeper and more liquid looking? Also, how well would u say it beads water? Is it a dust magnet like zaino?

I would say that Souveran is much more liquid looking and the shine is as bright as Zaino. I've only ever used Souveran on black though.
I just purchased my wife a roadster in redline, we're supposed to get it this weekend. I'm going to try Souveran on that even though it will be her daily driver.
Souveran beads water equal to Zaino and it doesn't attract near the dust. Now that you mention the dust attraction, that was my biggest gripe with Zaino. My other gripe was the how long the initial applications take. When I used Zaino they didn't have that ZX or whatever it is called that speeds up the curing. So I had to do the 24 hour wait between applications. That turned me off.
The other thing with Zaino is that if you put it on too thick, it can be a bear to remove. Souveran is applied in real thin coats as well but if you do over do it, it isn't as hard to remove.
Too bad you're not near me, I'd let you use some of mine.

Yeah that too bad, we could have shard souveran and FMJ, which is definately would trying. Looks like were going to end up giveing Classic Motoring Accessories some more money. lol. I have at least half their products and I feel they are by far the best supplier of car car products. If you havn't already, you should try some of their other products, they're all among the best Ive used. Blackfire is similar to zaino, but in many ways its better. It doesn't have the bulletproof durability of zaino, but its a little slicker and applies easier. Thats another one worth trying.
