Heres the situation. I have about 7 coats of Z5 on my Z, and im getting my PC7472 and im gonna wax this weekend. My question to all you zainoholics is do you think i should do one more coat of Z5 applied with the PC7472, or should i move on to Z2, or should i do a coat of Z5 and then a coat of Z2. I cant decide if i should use Z2 at all, seeing as how i have a black car, but its pretty hard to see any swirl marks. Im of course just looking for the best shine possible.
If you don't see any "swirls", move on to Z2. Keep in mind, you can go back and add Z5 at any time. I usually apply Z5 every 3-4 applications of Z2. Also, if you have a garage available, put on a coat of Z2 without ZFX. I repeat, without ZFX and let it remain on your SB for 8-10 hours. Comes off extremely easy unless you put it on too heavy. One (1) ounce is sufficient. Perhaps less. You will like the results. I also do the same with Z5.
Its kinda a waste to apply zaino with a porter cable. The PC is really for applying a polish, which zaino is NOT, dispite saying show car polish on the lable. Zaino is really a paint protectant. I guess they didn't want to call it wax because its synthetic and polish sounds better than paint protectant, but in any case I always apply zaino by hand. When I wanna reduce swirls, I use my PC with a polish like Menzerna or 3M Swirl Mark remover. Those are true polishes and will help reduce swirls. Of all Ive tried, Menzerna produces the best results. Hope that helps

I am a fellow superblack z owner and I have a few swirl marks on my hood and bumper area. I don't seem to get many on the door panels. I also want to ask you how do you wipe your z5 off. I am thinking about applying with my hand. Is the z5 fairly easy to work with??
Thanks,
