His Protocol is right on target.
You may want to first wash with Dawn dish soap just this ONE time to make sure you have a carnauba- and glaze-free finish. The dealer usually slaps on a coat of whatever for appearance's sake and needs to be removed before using Zaino. The clay bar does remove wax -- not Zaino -- but just to be on the safe side.....

The product would have been more believable if he hadn't taken the before pictures in the morning whiel the sun wasn't quite up and then the after pictures while the sun is shinning on the car. That is just my 2 cents the car looks clean, but my Z has never seen rain, sleet or snow and never will.
thanks,
Greg

Doc, looks AWESOME!! The Zaino treatment really makes the difference.
What is your plan to maintain the mirror shine from light morning mist and dust? Please specify which Zaino product you're planning to use between washes.
Thanks for sharing the result of your experiment.

Well, my Z has been in hibernation since early December. It is in a garage with a Battery Tender and the Nissan car cover. The last Zaino I applied was Thanksgiving weekend. I am holding steady at 20 layers (Z-2 and Z-5).
As for maintanence, I use the Zaino carwash (Z-7). It is very mild and doesn't strip off any of your hard work. It smells really nice too!
I have a California Car Duster that I use every day to remove dust. But I only use it when the car is really clean (i.e. only for dust but not for dirt). You can use the Z-6 mist ANY time. It is a great detailer. If the car is clean you simply spray a small amount on the car and wipe it right in. You really will see a nice shine with this alone. BUT, make sure the car isn't dirty before doing this! You may create swirls.
For the Z-6, an all cotton baby diaper works nicely. I use two, one to wipe the Z-6 in and the second to buff.
I use the Zaino Tire Dressing frequently. Believe it or not, I do the windows with the Z-6 too and not only do they shine like their not there, but they also repell water like crazy. Better than Rain-X IMO.
Anything I do to the paint, I also do to the Rays. (wash, clay, Zaino steps etc.)
Inside, I avoid Amour All since in my experience, it evaporates and clouds up the windows. It also attracks dust. I use the 303 Aerospace Protectant on the inside. Shines like AA but without the bad stuff.
MAN, all this talk makes me want to get out there and uncover my Z! Right now it is 25 degrees with about 8 inches of snow on the ground!
DAMN YOU WINTER!!!!!

Zaino Between Wash
It's been one week since I last washed it and used the Zaino full treatment.
I used the CA Duster to get ride of all loose dusts. Then applied the Z6 using a clean cotton terry cloth, wiping it off with a different clean cotton terry cloth. (used it on the clear bra also, it's invisible)
The attached picture is the result.
Conclusion: This Zaino stuff really works !!!
Next carwash is scheduled for next weekend, ofcourse using the Z7 solution. The car normally get's wash every weekend but just got it tinted last night and wanted to have the tint settle and dry.

I'm trying to catch up Doc. Layers 14 and 15 today. Like you my car has only been out of the garage one time since Thanksgiving. Went to that MD Z meet and the car has not moved since. 1010 miles since Nov.6 delivery and with this winter thing going on that may be my mileage come memorial day

Sorry Doc.
I promise I won't do it again But, it does fulfill two goals...It irritates you and it's a shameless add for 'Zee-Bracket', which BTW can be purchased through

So what kind of little kickback plan do you have worked out with them?
I can see it now, Audio Pat gets ultra rich from royalties from the sale of his front plate bracket. He buys a mansion with all the trimmings etc.
It is then discovered that the bracket self destructs in about 6 months, explodes and shreds the radiator causing major engine failure.
Audio Pat then looses his huge fortune through lawsuit payouts!
Wait a minute. Has this been done?

Ask Dr. Bonz
Dear Doctor,
Today was perfect for Zainoing: low humidity, moderate temperature, indirect sun. Having washed the car, I mixed two ounces of Z2 with ZFX and carefully began to apply one coat after another, using a misting of Z6 in between. The amount allowed for four applications (I know, one more than recommended), each more glossy and slick than the previous, the sensuous swell of the fenders, the strong lines of the car, and deep reflective quality of the shine becoming more pronounced with each coat.
My question, doctor, is this: Am I becoming a Zaino *****?
