Default Went to the Detail Day at Meguiar's *pics*

Autopia.org was having a detail day at Meguiars out in Irvine Ca. One of the guys invited me to go along. It was really cool. I have never done any detailing work before. It had a short class on new products and how to get the best out of your paint. Then they let us detail out cars for free. I learned how to use a PC and got a cool goodie bag and got my car looking awesome.

What we used on my car
White Claybar w/ quick detail spray
#80 Speed Glaze
NXT Tech Wax

Mike Phillips who works for Meguiars mentioned that he wanted to get a 350z detail day going if anyone is interested.

Wow.. I lived in Irvine in the mid 90's when i was going to school there and never realized Meguiar's was in the same city. Didn't know they even hosted these events. A Z33 specific event would be awesome

Not hard at all. The good thing I learned about a PC it is almost impossible to burn your paint. It was really easy they just showed you the right amount of pressure to use and how not to make the wax splatter around.

Time to get a new camera. Your pics look so-so, - but the pic that guy sent you looks great.

Side of your car looks like a mirror.

Yeah my camera isnt the best. It has had a very very hard life. I am planning on getting a 5mp around July.

The guy who took the pic had a 4mp Sony. I am not sure of the model.

I went from an old 1mp camera to a 4mp - it makes a big difference, ecspecially in the reflections on my car.

I got some of that nxt wax - looking forward to putting it on this weekend.

I am guessing about once a month. The guy who ran the detail day was so impressed on how my car came out he wanted to see if I can get a 350z/G35 day going. He will email me when dates are avail. I will post something about it. Last time there were about 30 people there.
