Default I want/need to polish my SS??

I've had my silverstone '03 since Feb of '03. I used to use Crystal Guard, but now im using Meguiar's NXT. The most I've ever done to my car is just a good hand wash by myself, followed with Crystal Guard and now NXT. Although my paint ends up looking nice, it still doesn't have that deep glossy shine that I used to have when I first bought the car. When I switched waxes, I'd always wash the car with Dawn to get the old stuff off. Is it a time for a clay bar treatment, or possibly a polish? I've heard stuff about Blackfire's polish and clay, but there's so much mixed discussion on polishes and waxes that I cant really get a clear picture on what would be a good pre-wax treatment for my car. Can somebody point me in the right direction if I should be thinking about applying a polish to my car?

If it's been since feb 03, I'd say you definitely need to clay bar. I think the car should be clayed about two to three times a year. I think you'll be surprised by the results the clay bar give. I use NXT myself, and it produces quite a good shine, but I haven't had my car as long as you. Another method people use to get the deepness is to use a polish like NXT and then put a coat of carnuba on top...I've also heard good things about blackfire. With waxes / polishes, there are a lot of opinions, you just have to find a product you are happy with
