Default NXT Question

My friend has a black mercedes clk55 amg (old style). He wants to know is NXT gets rid of ALL swirls on a black car if applied by hand. Will it? I have never used NXT on a black car so i couldnt asnwer his question. Also, he said that german cars are harder to take care of than other cars. He said that removing all swirls on a german car is near impossible.

Default NXT does work, not sure on German though

He is right when it comes to German paint. They do have a 'softer' clear coat vs. American cars, therefore they are generally harder to keep clean and keep swirl marks out of. I know for black cars, NXT is great. I have the SB Enthusiast...you tell me if it does a good job.

it eliminated the majority of the minor swirls on my SB, im very happy with the results of the NXT. doesnt seem to last as long as id like but the results & ease of application & removal keep me satisfied. i can apply & remove in about 30 minutes, very easy to remove. i usually do 2 coats to ensure i covered the entire but ive heard layering is a waste with this product..........

while we have some black car owners in here im curious what polish you guys are using after claybaring & before waxing?
thanx,
-justin

I use Mequiar's Show Car Glaze. Seems to work fairly well. I got a much deeper black this latest time I waxed my car.

I used Meguires gold class which I was quit happy with...Then I picked up some NSX and what a big difference, a deeper shine easier aplication I love it, as far as the swirl marks go still there but not so noticable, but then It was the first time Id used it so maybe they will disapear with time.
I think the only true way of getting rid of swirl markes is to buff them out .....oh and by the way dont polish your cars in a circular motion hence the swirls do it from side to side.

Is this true? You should never polish in a circular motion?

Whoa, whoa, whoa... You should use front to back or side to side strokes whenever possible to minimize swirls, but remember that buffers and polishers both move in circles.
