Default am I going detail crazy??

http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...id=00917099000

just purchased the above wet dry vac and it rules...has detachable blower which kicks **** for drying...used it to shampoo and vac rugs mats and seats in my 95 jeep...and came with a decent handheld car vac which I thought was going to "suck"...and it does - quite well actually

also just ordered a PC 7424 and some goodys from meguiars...
along with all the other waxes and cleaners...should I just open a detail shop now???

no need for a PC, unless you had a black car, then MAYBE a PC would be good.

reg...I have three cars that I maintain(my 03 Z, my girls 04 Murano & my 95 jeep)...wash at least once a week...wax every two weeks...I don't mind the workout...but I need to shave some time off...and just because I don't have a black car duzn't mean I don't want my shine to be the best I can get...we all have swirls and spider webs...just shows more on darker colors

No i wouldnt, because i posted that on a detailing forum (autopia.org) a couple months ago and didnt get flamed at all. Some people actually said it was great that i love doing it by hand and dont mind the extra effort.

I always thought those orbital buffers left swirls - I guess not. maybe thats where the "random" comes in.

It would be nice - ecspecially with 3 cars. I waxed my car this weekend - it's a good workout buffing it out. Of course it's like 85% humidity in Arkansas and my garage is like an oven. I could barely do it right cause the sweat was just pouring off me all over the car.

reg- waiting for my Meguiars kit to come in...but used Megs cleaner wax for test on my jeep..but plan on using Deep Crytsal polish, then top with NXT on my Z...

shane - ...the PC is a quality tool, plus you can use it to sand too (which it was originally made for)...I know a wood worker whose had a PC sander for 10 years..my forearms and shoulders are "jacked" this year from doing all this waxing...figure reduction in time 50% but then that frees up more time for more steps...
