Default Tire Dressing

What products do you guys recommend for the tire dressing on the Z ..

Also .. i notice some tires are less responsive and tend to go dull after the first few set of tire dressings. Unfortunately, The Bridgestone RE040's definitly exhibit this quality, im planning on Pilot Sports for my next set of tires, I was wondering if any of you have experience with those tires and making them look clean and shiny.

Thanks

Great question! I have used Stoner More Shine Less time for Tires, Eagle One Wet Tire Shine, Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #42 Rubber Treatment, and One Touch all without 100% satisfaction. If they do not 'brown' as mentioned in a previous post, then they leave a (shiny) sticky residue that is slick and will stain your car cover! While not desiring a super high gloss finish, most semi-gloss shines (such as Stoners) do not last a week before fading to dull.

Surely the great audience of this board has some ideas or experience?

The Zaino tire dressing has worked very nicely for me. It's not super shiney and lasts a couple weeks at least.

I just applied the 303 Aerospace protectant on the tires, will have to wait a few days to see how it works out.

I like Eagle One's "Satin Finish". It lasts for weeks without giving the tire a greasy shiny look. Just looks nisce and black and smooth, like new rubber.

I've been using the Meguire's Vinyl and Rubber protectant (for interiors). I like that it it doesn't give that high shine, just makes it look "richer".

Jet-wet has been awesome for me. They sell it at autozone. It has a soft spray feel to it, really nice and price is not bad.

I agree with Bonz. After much haranguing (yeah, that's how it's spelled, I checked), by vicmar90 and dimka while we were at the Bob Sharp show, I finally put something on my tires. I had my Zaino tire cleaner handy, and after borrowing Victor's brush, I had some nice looking tires. A week later, they still look okay.

Now, the wheels themselves are black again.

another fan of zaino, it doesnt have that wet appearance, instead its just a solid glossy coat. but the best part is that it doesnt wear off in 2 days and wont spin out onto your paint.

I like 303 too. I like that super satin finish. The only thing is that it doesn't last for the whole week. I usually have to apply it every 3-4 days.

I use Eimann Fabrik Black Sapphire Tire Gel and it works great. In my opinion one of the best out there.

I use to use black magic tire gel, but it is way to slingy, even when you whipe it off. IMO, lower profile tires look better with a satin like finish, like Zaino. But Tires like mine, I like a shiney finish because they have more sidewall

I use the Z-16 Zaino tire gloss also. If you want more shine and gloss you just put on more.

It will last thru rain and multiple washings. It's very durable and will last an average of several weeks on an outdoor car.

The great thing I like is it doesn't sling all over the side of the car.

No I don't work for Zaino.

I use Meguire's Endurance, appled with the Eagle One Applicator. Keeps tires nice and black, prevents browning, and if you put 2 coats on it will last a few weeks.

Default Black Sapphire Tire Gel

I'm with subterfuge with the Black Sapphire Tire Gel from Eimann Fabrik. Great stuff. Use an applicator.

I'm not a fan of sprays because of the over-spray. I like the control of the gel.

Those that are getting discoloration, or browning of the tires is caused by the dressing used. May be why you don't see any comments about Armor All on this thread. That stuff is the worst for discoloring tires.
