NXT is nice, but it doesn't seem to hold its smoothness as well as others.

Nice Brick, BTW

Nice job DIO but make sure you do that at least every one or two weeks since carnuaba doesn't last very long. One hot sunny day and it is gone.

NXT is the same way. It shines nice but doesn't last as long as Zaino. Longer than carnuaba though.

Ed,

I kinda want to agree with you. But, the $80.00 kit kinda fends me off. I wanted to try Zaino but, I cant imagine spending that kind of cash on wax. Tell me if Im wrong, but this looks OK to me...

I am def. switching my Maxima to Zaino. Applying this every one-two weeks is enough to make me switch. Zaino seems to hold 10X longer than any other wax/carnuba, ect I have ever used.

$80 is worth it, you get the entire kit, everything you need including car wash soap, Clay Bar, applicators. So the $80 is worth it.

I have had my Zaino kit for over a year now, and I still have 30% of it left.

Time to re-supply and start doing the Maxima.

Only downside is Zaino takes a lot longer to apply than others. But well worth it in the end.

How long does Zaino last if the car is driven daily?.. and taking in consideration a light rainshower and/or dirty muddy roads.. Does it "repel" water and such like some other waxes?..

Any opinions on Crystal Guard? I'm trying to decide between CG or Z. I use NXT and Average Carnuba Wax(Meguiars) but they don't seem to last. NXT is extremely easy to use. That's my main reason for sticking with it.

Looks good. But you have to look at it apples to apples. The $80 you spend on Zaino will last you a LONG time while the carnuaba will need to be repurchased several times over the course of a year. Even if the Zaino STILL costs more it is well worth it. It protects and lasts like no other product on the market.

Only downside is Zaino takes a lot longer to apply than others. But well worth it in the end.
Again, it really doesn't. If you are talking about doing the ENTIRE process (Dawn, clay etc), yes it is long but you should be doing this with ANY product to prep the paint for your detailing session!

If you consider the time from application of your carnauba and application of your Zaino polish and start the clock THEN, I guarantee you, I will have the car covered in Zaino faster than you can cover your car with Carnauba!

Then, if you are talking about taking the product off, and you start the clock when you start buffing, I again will guarantee I will be done faster than you.

I know this sounds like a bold statement but I'm not trying to brag about my "skills" or anything. It is all because of the product, not me.

Zaino beads water better than any "wax" I've seen. As for durability, it is unequalled. In "The Guru Report" study in which a group of detailers compared 46 different products, Zaino came out on top overall, but BLEW AWAY all other products in durability and ability to bead water.

Any opinions on Crystal Guard? I'm trying to decide between CG or Z.
I think CG is a decent product. See my review of it here:

Doc,
How do you get the most out of the Z6. Seems like it's hard to control the spray and I always run out pretty fast! I think I did maybe 6 applications and I might have one more in the bottle.

Is it better to ally this Z6 on a micro and wipe it on?
